Had a little retirement lunch for a coworker today...what a great place! It was not too busy, but it is a Tuesday. Staff was great, drinks were fantastic snd everyone's food was perfect! I had the spinach pizza...YUM!!! ...

man oh man , where do I start . This food was outta this world , soco panini was wonderful , Tj’s pasta was wow , our server extremely friendly and kind , one of the best restaurants ever and super underrated. Will come here again tomorrow .

Great comfort food. Some of the best fried food around. Large bar with pool tables, family friendly dining room and an outside patio. Great tap list. Owned and operated by a local family. Great vibes. Service was pretty slow but we went on the patio towards closing and the server was very kind. Happy Hour menu looks fantastic. Prices that make you come back. Soco Panini one of the best things ever created.

We only tried the stacked nachos and fried mozzarella bites but both of them were SO good. We loved that the nachos come in a big tray so the toppings get on most of the chips. The only negative thing was that they charge you 2 to add guacamole to the nachos and we found that it's a tiny container (see pic) and the flavor was not good.

Came in for snacks/appetitizers and drinks, our bartender was very personable, and friendly. The spinach dip was piping hot and delicious, the steak crostoni was perfect. I have had the pizza here before at another time and also found that to be great.

The only thing regretful about my experience was not trying this place sooner! I live within walking distance, and have for a few years now, but for some reason, they flew right under my radar. We ordered online and my husband picked it up on his way home. He stated that the interior was all updated and looked great, and that the staff was very friendly. The food was a TINY bit soggy, but I never expect take out to not be a little wet. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and my husband had a steak panini, and we split some mozzarella bites. Everything really hit the spot. Those fries remind me so much of Mortensens fries (back when they still had the restaurant), just a little thicker. That's high praise, because that was my favorite restaurant growing up. We will definitely be going back!

I have found my new "Cheers". Hey men if you're looking for that deep fried crunch from a wing that you have had from sliders which is no more because sliders has fallen off the deep end due to baking chicken wings! ( who does that,,,hmmm,sliders) than TJ's is your answer for great chrispy wings . The best wings in Connecticut and the busiest place in Newington. Love love love, order for the game men. Beer is Beer. Ipa's are better and TJ'S has the wings!
